Super Sonic™ Type 200 M42 Cobalt Jobber Drill Bits

Designed for stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, hardened alloys, and other difficult materials, Super Sonic™ M42 drill bits deliver excellent heat resistance and long-lasting cutting performance in both production and heavy-duty industrial drilling environments.

Each drill bit features a 135° self-centering split point that starts fast, reduces walking, and improves hole accuracy. Fully ground flutes evacuate chips efficiently for smoother drilling and reduced heat buildup during demanding applications.

Unlike many heavy-duty cobalt drill bits, Super Sonic™ M42 drill bits use a true round shank design with no flats. Under excessive torque, the bit can slip slightly in the chuck instead of instantly snapping, helping reduce breakage in handheld drills and high-speed applications.
