The Trident Point

The Trident stepped point works like a step drill on the end of a twist drill. It opens an existing hole up to the next size cleanly, without chewing up the point. That makes it the bit to grab for spot weld work, opening holes for bolts, and fixing holes that came out slightly off. The split point starts on its own, so you can skip the center punch.
