PREDATOR 29-Piece M42 Cobalt Gold Stubby Drill Bit Set combines heat-resistant M42 cobalt steel with a short, rigid design for demanding metal drilling. Built for hard steel, stainless steel, and tough alloy steels, it delivers the control needed for fabrication, machining, automotive repair, and maintenance.

M42 high-speed steel contains 8% cobalt, helping the cutting edges retain hardness under drilling heat. The cobalt is alloyed throughout the steel, so those material properties remain after resharpening.

The screw machine length, also called stubby length, reduces flex compared with longer drills of the same diameter. Shorter overall length provides additional working clearance around fixtures and in confined spaces where deeper reach is unnecessary.
